I happened upon this great post about good Twitter form today. What I like about it is that it boils good microblogging habits down to a short list. This list inspired me to take this idea one step further by condensing the advice into a single sentence:

To get the most out of Twitter, pay attention to what others are saying, give them credit when you like what they say, speak your mind honestly and unscripted, share your creative thoughts and ideas, and read and reply more than you write.

Then I condensed it even more, until it was less than 140 characters: To enjoy Twitter, pay attention and give credit to others, share thoughts and ideas unscripted, and read and reply more than you write. That’s what I’ve learned while twittering. If everyone did this, there’d be a lot less clutter and far fewer spammers.
